Naturopathy

Naturopathy or naturopathic medicine blends modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine. The naturopathic philosophy is to stimulate the healing power of your body and treat the underlying cause of disease. Naturopathic treatments are chosen based on the individual and can include diet and lifestyle changes, natural therapies including botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, naturopathic manipulation and traditional Chinese medicine or acupuncture. These methods are used to treat both acute and chronic conditions.

The Medcan approach to naturopathy involves a high level of collaboration and integration between our physicians and our naturopathic doctor. This provides a well-rounded view of health that will help you achieve your goals.
