Steven Hirsch, MD, CCFP, FCFP

Dr. Steve Hirsch is a graduate of Dalhousie University Medical school and the Residency Program of Family and Community Medicine, University of Toronto. He currently practices Family Medicine in Mississauga in a group practice, where he was managing partner. He is on Active Staff, Department of Family Medicine, the Credit Valley Hospital. He was an Emergency Physician at the hospital from 1985 to 2004. In addition to serving as Chief of Family Medicine at the Credit Valley Hospital, he has chaired and served on numerous committees. Dr. Hirsch is presently Lead Physician of the CVH Family Health Group of Mississauga, a group of 40 physicians providing comprehensive family medicine care at various offices throughout the city. Dr. Hirsch is a trained facilitator and facilitates many educational workshops for physicians and the public. Dr. Hirsch is also on staff at the North York General Hospital, Dept of Emergency Medicine, where he works at the Branson Site, Urgent Care Centre. Dr. Hirsch has been a Senior Medical Consultant at the Medcan Clinic for 11 years, and has a special interest in preventive medicine and health promotion.
