Rajiv Singal, MD, FRCSC
Director, UrologyDr. Singal obtained his medical degree and fellowship training in surgical urology (FRCSC) from the University of Toronto. He has been trained in endourology and extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (kidney stone diseases) at the University of Western Ontario and completed a comprehensive surgical internship at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Dr. Singal is the Head, Division of Urology, Department of Surgery at the Toronto East General Hospital (TEGH) and is a lecturer with the University of Toronto. He has received teaching awards and is the current Supervisor of the Clinical Surgical Fellows in Endourology, TEGH, University of Toronto and teaches urology for University of Toronto medical students and Family Practice Residents. Dr. Singal has held various leadership positions in academic affiliated hospital settings and sits on various committees including Chair of the Infection Control and Laser Safety Committees at TEGH. He has published several articles in his areas of interest and presented at international conferences. Dr. Singal is a principal investigator in several ongoing clinical research studies for diseases of the prostate.
