Nikolaos Mamalias, MD, FCFP (EM)
Senior Medical ConsultantDr. Mamalias obtained his medical degree from the University of Toronto and completed his Family Medicine Residency and Fellowship in Emergency Medicine at the University of Western Ontario. He is an active emergency medicine physician at North York General Hospital. Dr. Mamalias has published peer reviewed articles in his areas of interest as well as been associate editor of various medical publications. His past research experience was in the areas of cardiology, electrophysiology and neuroscience. He has presented at various hospital and university based medical rounds and conferences. Dr. Mamalias is a clinical teacher for medical students (clerkship clinical teaching – Art and Science of Clinical Medicine, Emergency Medicine) at North York General Hospital, University of Toronto; Family Medicine Resident Lecturer (toxicology); Certified Emergency Department Echocardiography Instructor and past Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor. He has been involved with various committee work and recipient of academic awards. Dr. Mamalias’ interests include preventive medicine.
