Monica Zarb, MSc., CGC
Genetic Counsellor
Monica Zarb is a board-certified Genetic Counsellor who joined Medcan in 2011. Prior to joining Medcan, Monica provided preconception and prenatal genetic counseling services at Duke University Medical Centre and Regional Obstetrical Consultants. She has been actively involved in facilitating the implementation of genetic services into medical clinics, utilizing genetics to impact the medical management of high risk patients. Her interests include Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis and Women’s Health. Her focus is to bring the most extensive genetic testing services to individuals prior to conception, resulting in informed decisions regarding potential risks and pregnancy options. Monica earned her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is an active member of the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors (CAGC).
