David Carr, MD,CCFP(EM)
Senior Medical ConsultantDr. Carr obtained his medical degree from the University of Ottawa, Family Medicine Residency at the University of Toronto (Sunnybrook and Women’s College Health Sciences where he was Chief Resident) and Emergency Medicine Certification (EM) from the Canadian College of Family Physicians at the University of Western Ontario. He is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Family and Community Medicine, Division of Emergency Medicine, University of Toronto and Assistant Director of Education, University Health Network (UHN). Dr. Carr is a certificant of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP). He is active emergency physician staff at the University Health Network, York Central Hospital and Sunnybrook Hospital and a stadium physician at the Rogers Centre. Dr. Carr remains an instructor for the Ontario College of Family Physicians, Emergency Medicine Primer and a member of various organizing committees at UHN. He has a particular interest in Toxicology and Peripheral Arterial Disease and is a chapter author in medical education texts. Dr. Carr has received and been nominated for various awards in teaching and clinical skills in emergency medicine and has presented at various professional medical meetings in emergency medicine.
