Daryl S. Kucey, MD, MSc, MPH, FRCSC

Dr. Kucey obtained his medical degree at the University of Alberta, graduating with First Class Standing and Distinction. He completed the General Surgery Residency Training Program at the University of Toronto and during this time also completed a Masters of Science degree (MSc) in Cell Biology. During his general surgery training Dr. Kucey was exposed to Vascular Surgery and chose to complete a full residency program in Vascular Surgery at the University of Toronto. He is a fully certified surgeon by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada with a certificate of special competence in Vascular Surgery. In addition, he is a Board Certified Vascular Surgeon by the American Board of Surgery. Following surgical training he attended the Harvard School of Public Health and received a Masters of Public Health (MPH) Degree. Dr. Kucey joined Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as a Staff Surgeon as well as a Clinical Scientist within the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES) located at Sunnybrook. He has been extremely active with the Canadian Society for Vascular Surgery and is currently President of the Society.
