Senior Medical ConsultantDr. Campbell obtained her medical degree from McMaster University, School of Medicine, residency in family practice at the University of British Columbia (CCFP) and has fellowship status with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (FCFP). She is a Diplomate in Sports Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sports Medicine, Diplomate and certified in Sports Medicine by the American Board of Family Practice and has a Master of Science (MSc) with a major in exercise physiology, Dalhousie University. Dr. Campbell also completed a year of general surgery residency at the University of British Columbia. She has over 20 years experience in family practice both in Canada and the United States where she was Medical Director, Preventive Medicine, Park Plaza Hospital and Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She has held various leadership positions during her career including Director, Occupational Medicine and Chief of Family Practice Section, Columbia/HCA Medical Center Hospital and Chief of Staff, Intracare Hospital in Houston. Dr. Campbell has been very active in the field of sports medicine. She is the current Medical Director, FIFA U20 Men’s World Cup (Toronto Site) and past team physician for the Canadian Women’s World Cup Soccer Team attending 5 world cup competitions and over 40 international competitions (2000-2007) as well as acting as a physician for Skate Canada events. She also has extensive coaching experience for high performance athletes at both national and international levels. Dr. Campbell has published several articles in peer reviewed medical journals in her areas of interest as well as being a speaker at several medical conferences. Her interests are in wellness and preventive health.
