Chest X-ray
A chest x-ray, also known as a chest radiograph, is one of the most common x-rays given, able to screen for and diagnose a wide range of conditions. Like all methods of radiography, a chest x-ray employs ionizing radiation in the form of x-rays to generate images of the chest.
Chest x-rays can detect many conditions involving the lungs, heart, chest wall, thorax, and the primary blood vessels.
