Audiometric Testing

The audiometric test is done to determine your hearing ability, and diagnose any hearing loss or diseases of the ear.  The test is carried out using an audiometer, consisting of a computer connected to a pair of headphones and a feedback button.

In order to ensure background noise does not interfere, you will be placed in a soundproof booth during the test.  With the earphones on, both your ears will be tested independently using a range of frequencies.
