12-Lead Electrocardiogram Stress Test
Also known as a cardiac stress test, treadmill test or exercise test, measures electrical tracings within the heart that allow interpretation of arrhythmias, heart strain and patterns of arterial blood flow to the heart during exercise, and compares it to the blood flow during rest. It also allows the physician to interpret your blood pressure and heart rate response to exercise.
The results of this test can suggest whether blood supply is reduced in the arteries that supply the heart. With this information it is possible for us to diagnose coronary artery disease, predict the risk of dangerous heart-related conditions such as a heart attack, and also determine a safe level of exercise for you.
