Varesh Mehra joined Medcan in June 2018 to lead client experience and non-clinic service operations, including operational excellence, relationship management, effective service delivery and people leadership. He boasts over 20 years of experience in operations, strategy design/deployment and client success.
Varesh began his career as an Operations professional working in healthcare, manufacturing, financial services and client services verticals. He has extensive experience in sales, operations, business process re-engineering, simplification and client experience solutions in Canada, the US, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Varesh was an integral player on the Operations management team at Medavie Blue Cross for over 5 years, serving as head of operations for the benefits vertical. In addition to leading the strategy and operations for plan administration, claims adjudication and client service, he helped to launch several new products and digital assets that focused on advancing the client experience. Prior to this, Varesh led the organizational Business Process Optimization function at Sobeys Inc., where he established the Change Management practice.
Varesh holds an MBA and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and International Business Marketing from the University of Delhi, India. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time hiking and golfing with his wife and two children.
